VisualMED to Attend Most Major Medical Informatics Conferences in the U.S. - Key Move to Increase to Increase Market Presence in 2005-2006
MONTREAL, May 04, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- VisualMED Clinical Solutions Corp. (NASDAQ OTC BB:VMCS) announces it is undertaking a major effort to step up its market presence in the United States. The Company will be attending a series of industry-sponsored conferences and trade shows where all major suppliers and clients for Electronic Patient/Medical Records, Computerized Physician Order Entry and other Clinical Information Systems will be present. VisualMED Clinical Solutions Corp. and its partners and allies will be attending each of the proposed events, where the Company will have an opportunity to demonstrate the VisualMED Suite of Clinical Modules to a wide array of healthcare buyers, including officials from individual hospitals, HMOs, and regional, state and federal healthcare authorities.
The American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP) Summer Meeting is being presented in Boston the week of June 13, and will offer the Company an important venue to demonstrate the full range of agility and functionality of VisualMED's systems to some of the key hospital decision makers. Furthermore, because Boston is home to many HMOs and hospital management companies, this conference takes on added importance from the fact that senior decision makers will be attending ASHP. VisualMED will also be attending the ASHP Mid-year Clinical Meeting December 4-8 in Las Vegas.
VisualMED will equally have a sales and marketing presence at the TEPR (Towards an Electronic Health Record) annual conference during the third week of May in Salt Lake City. And toward the end of the year, the Company will as usual be showcasing its line of products at the Quebec and Ontario Hospital Associations annual events, the key Canadian healthcare IT events.
In October, VisualMED will be attending the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) annual symposium in Washington D.C., another opportunity to showcase our flagship system. By then, the VisualMED platform will be fully operational in two American hospitals, employing the full range of VisualMED software, including the key Electronic Medical Record and CPOE with full clinical decision support.
In fact, the positive impact from highly favorable results obtained at Physicians Hospital of El Paso, Texas, should help the Company attract attention from healthcare institutions and organizations, and especially federal healthcare officials at AMIA in Washington who will be attending this conference. In light of heavy new federal informatics funding, VisualMED will stand out as a viable and cost-effective solution to the American healthcare crisis.
With new sales revenues and the completion of a private placement to finance operations, this will be the first time VisualMED is sending a full technical demonstration and sales force to all key industry showcase events being held during the conference season. In addition, recent information regarding the functionality and implementation record of competing Clinical Information System providers indicate VisualMED stands to do very well from these events.
